The Ladyzhenskaya Lecture
The Euler International Mathematical Institute, St. Petersburg Mathematical Society and V.I. Smirnov Seminar on Mathematical Physics have established the annual Ladyzhenskaya Lecture. Olga Ladyzhenskaya occupies a very special place in the history of mathematics and mathematical physics in St Petersburg, Russia, and worldwide.
Lectures are planned to be held in early March in the mixed form (online/in presence) at one of the meetings of the V.I. Smirnov Seminar on Mathematical Physics.
Lecture topics include PDEs and related issues.
The lecturer is selected by a Special Committee created by the founders.
Nominations of candidates for delivering the Ladyzhenskaya Lecture can be submitted by members of the Executive Board of EIMI and members of the Board of the St. Petersburg Mathematical Society. The deadline for nominations is December 31.
The Committee’s decision is announced no later than on January 15.
The lecturer will be awarded an honorary diploma.
